Like you care, PETA |
So, PETA's started a new website that aims to convert Muslims to veganism and vegetarianism by condescendingly telling Muslims all about their own religion. Their reason for doing it now? An October 2009 Pew Forum study showing that nearly one in four people on the planet is Muslim. Not because, you know, they care about Muslims or respect their religion or think Muslim people are important on their own, regardless of how large a percentage of the population they are. And if PETA had been paying attention, they wouldn't need a Pew study to tell them that Muslims make up a large portion of the world.
I'm also wondering how long it will be before the Muslims they target start to notice that PETA's tactics are not exactly in line with Islamic values. I'm going to guess not long. |

It's a shame that PETA is so full of it that they can't realize that the only ones to fall victim to they're tyranny are people with malleable minds, kids, actors, etc.
Peta doesn't stand for anything I want to be a part of.

Such flagrant pandering and holier-than-thou moralism! I'm sure the imams would LOVE their strategy of women stripping for veganism!

Well said. While I am very much a vegan and all for animal rights, visiting PETA's site is like visiting a site from a fanatical religous group. Though you might agree with the core values, they simply go too far and it's annoying as shit.
